Contact and corrections

Send questions and corrections to [email protected]. This address is the published contact for SHMOTE5.COM. Sending a message is your action; merely generating or saving a name does not send us anything.

Report a particular output

Include the page address, the name or paragraph concerned and the reason for your message. Settings and the world seed can help us reproduce a selection. If you exported a project, inspect its notes before attaching it: the JSON format can contain private writing notes as well as results.

Technical issues

Describe the page, last action and browser. A brief description or a relevant excerpt is usually more useful than a full browser log. Do not include passwords, access tokens or unrelated personal records. There is no promised response time or round-the-clock support service.

Content and rights concerns

Explain the exact wording and the context of your concern. A generated interpretation is not a verified cultural or historical assertion, but an unsuitable suggestion can still need correction. If you raise a rights issue, identify the relevant use and the basis of the concern. An acknowledgement is not a final legal determination.

Privacy requests

Browser-only favourites and notes are not copied to a central account database. We cannot retrieve that local information by your email address. Requests about an email you sent can be directed to the same contact address with enough context to identify the correspondence.

Changes to vocabulary or program rules can affect later reproduction of an older seed. Keep the results you actually chose in your project archive rather than relying on the seed alone.
